Festive White Chocolate Bark

One of our favorite holiday treats is also among the easiest to whip up in mere minutes. Check out this super speedy recipe for white chocolate bark that has a festive appearance thanks to any number of your favorite sweet or salty toppings you can sprinkle on top. Personally, we’re fans of the classic red and white holiday appearance of crushed candy canes. And if you’re really a fan of that flavor profile, you can also add some peppermint extract to give it an extra kick after melting your chocolate. Happy holidays and enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

  • 16 oz. bag of White Chocolate Chips
  • Coconut Oil (Optional)

DIRECTIONS

Prep: 5 min | Cook: 5 min | Ready in: 1 hr.

Step 1:
Line a 12x17 or smaller baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.

Step 2:
Prepare your selected toppings and set aside.
HINT: You can use Dixie® Small Cups for an easy way to hold and sprinkle small amounts of nuts, candy and your other toppings when ready.

Step 3:
Pour white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and heat on high for 1½ minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to stir with a spatula. Stop heating once the chocolate is smooth and completely melted.
HINT: You can thin the chocolate and make it easier to stir by adding a small amount of coconut oil, no more than a teaspoon at a time to keep it from getting runny.

Step 4:
Pour your melted white chocolate onto the baking sheet and spread it around to a uniform thickness across the pan—an offset spatula makes it much easier to spread evenly. Immediately sprinkle your various toppings onto different areas of the pan to create multiple types of bark.

Step 5:
Refrigerate the chocolate for 30 minutes or more to set. You want to make sure the chocolate has completely hardened before breaking it into pieces. When finished, arrange your pieces of chocolate bark on a Dixie® Cheer™ holiday plate as a tasty and festive treat for family and friends.
